Counter-Protest
Hi all,
I read the post about that twittering douche who thinks Adam isn't family-friendly and how she said that she will be picketing the concert.
Well, the last thing HBIC & co need to see as they pull into a venue is a bunch of goons with hate signs.
So, I thought it would be great if we could try to find out in advance about these 'protests' and head out with our own signs*. I'm thinking huge poster board with quotes of tolerance on each side so they can be seen from front or back, from the idols, from their family, from Maya Angelou, whoever, pictures of Kradam, etc. If there are any religious types going, there could be 'Christians for Adam (or Kradam), Jews for Kradam... The idea would be to stand in front of the evil picketers when the Idol buses arrive and block them from view. (Idea totally inspired by Matthew Shepard's funeral when his friends dressed as angels.)
If there is a protest going on today, there may not be much time to get things going, but if you are planning on heading down to meet the bus, please consider it.
Does this sound like a good idea to anyone else/anyone up for doing it? Also, please comment with ideas for quotes that people can use.
*Sadly, I can't go to any of the concerts so I don't even get to participate in my own idea!
