More coverage of Westboro. No mention of #GODHATESHATE. There are so many articles on it, honestly, but this one bugged me in a random way.
Protesters: Adam Lambert is a "Rebel Against God"

It's both incomprehensible and incredibly depressing that people like this exist.
But at last night's American Idol concert in Kansas City, awful, close-minded members of the Westboro Baptist Church stood outside and protested the mere existence of Adam Lambert.
They held signs that read "God Hates Fags" and, as heard on the video below, one of them referred to Lambert and other homosexuals as a "bunch of rebels against God... they're teaching rebellion against the standards and commandments of God."
Such ignorant, hateful morons make
Jon Voight look sane and reasonable.

Rising above it all, Lambert Tweeted after the show:
Thank you all for the support. Love overcomes hate. Love has no color. Love has no orientation. All is love. :)
This is the second time this summer that a Church has sponsored this sort of protest. Other gay-haters
picketed a concert in San Jose in July.
It's interesting to note how Lambert has handled these incidents of pure vitriol, compared to how the Carrie Prejean has handled her scandal-filled spotlight. Who do you think is a better Christian role model?
source FOUR THINGS:
1) Jon Voight? These idiots could make Ann Coulter look rational.
2) The Carrie Prejean?
3) Adam is Jewish, actually.
4) Okay, this is why I'm posting it? I need to rant. Although I understand the context in this case (and it is ironic), still it rubs me wrong when people act as if being a kind and classy human being is a Christian thing. My family does it all the time. Someone is nice to them, and it's "She seems like a good Christian woman." Why "Christian"? Why not simply "good"? Being a good person may be a prerequisite for being a Christian, but being a Christian isn't a prerequisite for being a good person. It bugs the hell out of me. All the more in cases like these where the irony just isn't funny, actually. Adam couldn't be a classier person, and no, it's not because he's Christian. Because he's not. And it's not because he's not a Christian. It's simply because he is classy. Just that. You don't need faith or religion to be a nice person.
/tl;dr rant

These are really short, but he looks good and I thought they were worth posting for Michael stans. :)
Also, have we seen this? I looked back a few pages through yesterday and couldn't find a main post about Kara's NB. Sorry if this is a duplicate.
The Song That Wouldn't Die - Kara Records 'No Boundaries' Herself
August 31, 2009
By Michael Shain
IF Kris Allen doesn't want to sing the victory song "American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi wrote for him - then she'll do it herself. Kara posted her own studio version of "No Boundaries" yesterday on YouTube, where it got a warmer welcome than it was getting on the live "Idol" tour. "No Boundaries" - the show- ending anthem which both Allen and runner-up Adam Lambert sang on the finale of "Idol" last spring - was not well received this year. In fact, Allen dropped it from his live performance on the "Idol" tour last July after just a week because, he said, it was slowing down the show's momentum. Suddenly and without fanfare, over the weekend, a studio version of the song by DioGuardi popped up on YouTube. "Surprisingly, I like this better than both Adam and Kris' versions!" read one comment. "Yeah it sounds better with a woman singing," replied another comment. "Wow, this is amazing. Suddenly I don't hate this song as much anymore," read another. Apparently, DioGuardi recorded and released her own version of the song so that it might get a more fair hearing. No information was available about when or where the recording was made - and, so far, it seems to be available only on the Web. Her version was not listed for downloading yesterday on iTunes. In years past, specially written victory songs have gone on to become bestsellers. Kelly Clarkson's first million seller was "A Moment Like This," which was written for the final episode. But "No Boudaries" went over so poorly when it was first sung during the finals last May that some fans called for the end of the whole practice of trying to find an original song for the last show.

UNLESS THE KARA VIDEO HASN'T BEEN POSTED YET, THIS POST DOESN'T TRULY HAVE A POINT, EXCEPT THAT I WANTED TO RANT AND ALSO TO ENJOY MICHAEL LOOKING HOT. I'M SORRY.
