Adam Lambert, the glam rocker runner-up on season 8 of American Idol has hired a private investigator to unmask a mysterious phantom accused of stalking the star online.
ETA: Yes, like I said, it is the National Enquirer. About 50% of the "article" we know to be true (the hacking). They could have completely fabricated the other 50% (Jose and "Lane," aka e-Bonnie and Clyde).
The National Enquirer’s veteran celebrity snitch Mike Walker has learned that Lambert is working with a P.I. to find a person who hacked into his voicemail and several e-mail accounts, gaining access to Adam’s personal contacts list and other private information. The obsessive “Stan” is also accused of gaining illegal access to a Lambert fansite - and even used Adam’s accounts to e-mail several of the singer’s pals, who report being hit up for movie premiere passes and party invitations by the faceless imposter.
“The stalker, who calls himself Jose, acts like he’s totally obsessed with Adam,” a friend of the Idol powerhouse reveals in the Sept. 7 issue of The National Enquirer. “What makes this assault on his privacy even scarier is that the guy’s in cahoots with a female accomplice, who’s passing herself off as ‘Lane,’ Adam’s real-life personal assistant.”
