I enjoy it here.
I don't know why people would not just be themselves. It's so much more fun.
I will admit the first couple of days I was out and trying to meet people, then meeting the wrong people and pretending and telling myself they were the right people, and that totally got me down.
Today I slept late, got breakfast, and played some sax right away. These girls then called me up to go to the mall, and no offense to them, I just didnt want to go to the mall. Maybe a couple of days ago I would have gone to socialize, but today I decided no I just don't want to go to the mall. I got some laundry done and then played guitar until about 745, flat out missed dinner. I then got frustrated with guitar, and just coulndt rock out to this song, so I was going to ask barry if he could help, pick up some food, and then work on the part. Well I met up with barry, and then I met some kids playing frisbee. Played frisbee for a while. They said they were really interested in music and wanted to audition for hartt, so I took them around hartt for a while. Then I met this classical guitar major who I had already met twice, and he knew what was going on. I think him and his friend were high, but as was I, and could not tell. Then I went back and realized I didnt get any dinner, or play guitar, and its about 10:30. So, I then decided to get ready, knock a few shots with some roomies, go to the deli place have some dinner, and then go party.
I met these cool guys from TEP, and I had some grain alcohol which was pretty rediculous. I heard about a frat here that pushes a lot of heavy drugs, so I talked to a TEP guy about it, and he was like, well yea everybody pushes something. Which I thought was weird I thought some of them were pretty straightforward but none-the-less I bought a twenty bag off him, and he's from long island so he had the home goods and the home prices, so I got his number.
Then I met these girls who seemed like a good bunch of people, but they were kind of using the guys they hung out with for weed and cigarrettes or whatever they could get their hands on. Still, they brought me around and I got drinks from a couple of the fraternities that I kind of preteneded I was interested in, without asking for a beer, but defintiely still getting one. I had hung out with these girls a couple nights back so they invited me in to hit their bong again.
Then Nick Pasco walked in, and he was totally chill. People left and it was just and it was just me Nick and these two girls. We were leaving so Nick pulled a beer out of his bag and gave it to me. The group of girls then went home, and now I am home content as can be
I've actually been hanging around with a different frat like each night kind of, and they all seem pretty cool, but I don't thikn I 'm going to pledge. I don't think I want that, although, I think the greek letters are totally badass. I would never join one with just two letters, because that looks lame.
I made ramen in the microwave, with the bowl spoon and fork that I took from the dining hall.
So now I am sitting at the computer writing I have no idea why, but I'll just go with it.
I decided I am starting a frisbee team.
There is huge frisbee following here, and the intramurals league seems pretty serious. I will harness that and in the next four years we will be a D1 frisbee team. Coach Pine will have his way.
I also very much want to play some jazz, and very much appreciate real friendship. There are the obvious ones that I miss but I had no idea I would be missing everybody this much.
The song I couldnt get on guitar was airport song, the vocals just do not go with the guitar part. So, I am listening to it on repeat right now to engrain it in my mind. Then I will go with ipod on shuffle. Since I deleted steve vai, creed, and staind the shuffle has been doing its job a lot better.
I really feel the ipod was the best invention of our generation so far. It is my second favorite item here, and my ipod socks are my first.
and I'm ready for bed.
