What: Rolo is in the park by himself, trying to get his mind off Lelouch
Where: Primavera Lascia Parco - "Spring Leaves Park"
When: The day after the fashion party, around noon
Rolo was getting very, very lonely in the Monacello compound without Lelouch around. The last he'd heard, his Nii-san was dead. He didn't want to believe that...especially since if he was, it meant he'd be called back to the Antimafia Commission soon. More, though...it meant that he'd gained and lost the only true family he'd ever had in only a few short months. But it felt like years. Rolo had been so close to Lelouch, even after so little time had passed. His Nii-san was kind--to him, at least--when no one else Rolo had ever met really had been. It was a relationship that Rolo treasured above all else, even more than the possible consequences of betraying the Antimafia Commission. And just like that, it was all over.
He had walked to the park that was just outside of Monacello territory, but not quite in Vescovo territory either. It was a beautiful place around noon, with some vibrant flowers blooming, birds chirping, a small fountain on one side away from the parking lot, and a nice breeze blowing through, taking the edge off the heat perfectly. He sat down on a bench near the fountain, losing himself in the steady rhythm of the water, that was interrupted by the whistling of a male Teal by the water every few minutes or so.
It was nice, and relaxing. He stared vacantly at the duck, watching it walk back and forth on the fountain's edge, or jumping into the water to cool off a bit. Rolo wished for a moment his life was that simple again, just following what he was told, and doing what his instincts directed. If it hadn't stopped, though, he would never have met Lelouch...and the last few months wouldn't have been so...fulfilling. Those months with his Nii-san had made him feel alive...and human...for the first time since he could remember.
