WHO: Subaru Sumeragi, Seishirou Sakurazuka
WHAT: They arranged to meet.
WHERE: In a park, secluded. Their usual meeting spot.
WHEN: Almost midnight.
Subaru waited by the cherry tree. It was where he usually waited for Seishirou. Seishirou loved the cherry trees, for some reason, and Subaru never questioned it. The night air was brisk but not especially cold, and if he looked up Subaru could make out the constellation he was named for. He and his sister had both been named for constellations, but Subaru had always thought Hokuto's stars were better, if only because they were better known, being the big dipper. The wind ruffled his hair as he studied the stars. The sky was remarkably clear, which was strange. He'd thought it was supposed to rain tonight. Obviously not.
Where was Seishirou? The man came and went as he pleased, early or late but never predictable. A shiver when up Subaru's spine and he swallowed hard. Seishirou was a dangerous man. He knew that. How he loved the man when he... Subaru tried not to think about it. He himself was a killer, too, after all. His heart ached every time he was forced to admit that.
