Gipo picked up the four small bottles and slipped them carefully into the case. Such things, although products of the local agriculture, still needed protection if they were to be kept most potent. He wondered what she would think, if such a gift were appropriate. She had captivated him though and was it not still La Befana's day? Besides she would make a choice that would perhaps bring him much in return.
He walked out the door and up the street to the address she had given him and rang the bell near the apartment door.
