Syaoran stumbled against a brick-walled skyscraper. His heart and head were still pounding with blood. He wanted to cry, he wanted to scream. He'd never felt so sick before in his entire life.
It was everything he could do to keep walking, and to keep the contents of his stomach where they belonged. He'd never been so emotionally ravaged, so nervous and anxious...so scared...in his whole life.
Franky...I'm so sorry... He was only following orders, but he felt like it was all his fault anyway. What if Hijikata hadn't meant for Syaoran to do that? What if someone had seen him? What if he got tracked back to the Vescovo compound? How would he ever face any of Franky's team, with what he had done?
How could he face Tomoyo again? And how could he ever hope to even speak...to her...?
