I Never Promised You A Rose Garden [Closed/Complete]

WHO: Alba Meira, Jinx
WHAT: A nice, relaxing dinner.
WHERE: A restaurant in neutral territory
WHEN: Day 99 (08/19)

It started with a note. A note and a missing body. While plenty of days for the Meira twins started that way, usually the note was from a superior, and the body was quite dead. This time, however, the matter was different, as the note was left by the body in question. As Alba stared at the note taped to his replacement glasses, he shook his head, a tight smile on his lips. With all that was happening, the last thing he needed was for Jinx to be dead just because she was in public... but he knew she could take care of herself well enough. He pulled one of his nicer outfits out of the closet, a dark crimson suit, single-breast, and a dark gray button-up, topped with a brighter red tie, and laid it out on the bed, before stepping into the shower to scrub down.

Once he was clean, brushed, and clothed, he slipped the recognizable glasses over his eyes, and grabbed the keys to the Roadster, heading down to the garage with the address in his pocket, and the task of finding poinsettias in the dead of August in Reggio Calabria. The hoops I jump through, he mused to himself as he started her up, revving the engine a few times for good measure. He was lucky he had about an hour and a half to track down the flowers, because that was not going to be easy, by any stretch of the imagination. Sure, he would check the larger flower sellers first, but outside of the usual roses, tulips, and chrysanthemums, the choices were a little slim. Even some of the smaller shops run further out from the city's center weren't likely to carry flowers that were so far out of season.

When he finally found a place, remote compared to most of the shops, which had poinsettias in stock, he counted his blessings, however few they might be. Stepping inside, he was greeted by a rather elderly man, who could tell he was looking for particular flowers before he even opened his mouth. "Otherwise, why would you have come all the way out here?" Alba nodded, saying he needed a bouquet of poinsettias, which elicited a rolling laugh from the flower seller. After a bit of haggling, and a lot of money forked over, (they were out of season, after all), Alba muttered a 'thank you,' getting back in the car with a perfect bouquet, and headed for the restaurant on the paper.

Fortunately, his navigational skills were second to none, and even that far away, he still made it in a very short amount of time. He'd never been to this place before, and didn't really know what to expect of it, but surely it couldn't be too different from any number of places he'd been before. Reluctantly, he handed the keys to the valet, stepping out with the flowers in one arm, and headed to the door, his eyes scanning the place for the pink-haired girl who, this time, would actually have pink hair. Her choice to go undisguised was questionable, but since it was useless any more to hide that she was alive, not all that odd.
