So. Ever been approached by a complete stranger and been asked, "What is the meaning of life?"

Anyone?

At all?

... No?

Right. Just so we're clear...

The meaning of life is monkeys.

...

Regular monkeys or those little swimming sea monkey things? Though they're not actually monkeys. I think they're brine shrimp or something.

Probably regular monkeys, though anything with "monkey" in the name should apply. Like monkey wrench.

Or monkey bread. That's pretty good stuff. I eat it for breakfast somtimes.

... I can honestly say that I have never eaten monkey bread. Is it tasy?

Oh yeah! It's kind of sticky and sweet. Kind of like a cinnamon roll, only a little bit heavier.

I don't know where the name came from though.

That sounds downright delicious! I'll have to see if I can find a place that sells them.

... You don't think they put real monkeys in them, do you?

I had that same horrifying thought...so I checked every last recipe I could find. No mention of monkey meat, or any meat at all.

My theory is that it's because you eat it with your hands, kind of like a monkey. But I couldn't find any evidence of that either.

Oh, good. I was scared for a second.

I like that theory. Let's stick with it.
