The mini meetup on Thursday was really fun and relaxing. We had timeless_rose, fullmetalsqishy, mmc_ningyouai, rat and myself taking over a section of the Steak and Shake and covering two tables with dolls. Luckily, the place was pretty empty. It was amusing how, after one large group left, we had the section to ourselves and all the new customers sat WAY over on the other side. *

I am forever grooming Sadat's hair, meanwhile Olo almost never needs touchups. I guess some wigs are more prone to fritzing out than others.

Nasake's wig is a high-quality Japanese fiber number. I wish I could find a fur wig for him, then the work would be almost non-existent.

Hatori's bitty wig stays pretty tame but Eiri's bitty wig likes to stick stray hairs out all the time. The poor grump has perpetual bed head!

and I know the feeling of over working your body... I hope your back and my shoulder hold out for the meet tomorrow ^.^ It would suck not being able to do Skah's face due to not being able to move my arm

Weird...it always works fine for me, and *I* use firefox...

The tables work, but the size of the images pushes the text outside the background, which makes a lot of the text unreadable without being highlighted.

Hopefully my quick style sheet over-ride has helped fix this, even though the text is now cramped in a little box. *laugh* Poor abused text!

You probably have a high screen resolution, which helps the situation.

I honestly think the best solution is to use a different image site and to make slightly smaller images that link to bigger ones, so that the tables don't get all messed up. Then you can keep the layout, and don't have to simply keep the smaller images.

I went in and changed the style sheet for the lj layout and adjusted the table so the entry should look okay now

*nods* I understand. I've got my screen resolution at 1024 x 768 too. It's always so difficult to work around different resolutions. Hopefully this works better.

The more simple solution will work better - no more having to deal with crossing my eyes having to figure out where to put the table data.

It may not be as 'elegant', but it will be easier on my coding eyes and people will be able to read what I spent way too much time writing.

it was fun, I still need to get my pictures up.... Yggdrasil's first time meeting other dollies! Talking about being tired, I went bowling last night so I still hope my arm's well enough for a face up... thank got I'm not painting (lol I find mini heads too difficult to paint on and get good effects with pastels and watercolor pencils. lol I said I'd demo a no paint method if people were interested ^_^). Yay meet today! I'm sorry I think you can blame me for the bringing of all dolls, it just doesn't feel like a dollmeet without a bunch of em being there, and I seriously think there's safe room for them, cause I remembered last time it wasn't so much the dolls as the doll bags that were taking up space and I seriously think just walking back out and stashing them back in the car would be no biggie, at last it's not to me. yay for luts and dollmore orders shipping! OH and are you still wanting to hop on my group order. I know you said you wanted an ear drill...

I have my photos on the laptop and need to send them to Last Gasp this morning before the meetup so they are in two places. It will probably be a while before I get to them - the lot includes the kimono group shots, too.

Yes, I want to get an ear drill, just to have one in the kit.
