You semi-converted me to abjd's... I can't remember clearly, how. I think you had linked to something which linked to Elfdoll, and I saw that Special Sooah... and 5 years deliberation was over.

I tend to have large, grandiose flights of fancy. This is why I rarely allow myself to buy big things unless I ponder them for at least 3 months, to a full year. This goes double for living things -- my infatuation with land hermit crabs, for example, is on the 'no indulge' list until next summer at the earliest. So for something to actually hang about my field of interest for 5 years is probably a good sign I wanted in, to begin with.

I still say the whole "did he fall, or was he pushed?" thing goes for me. Hah.

This was definitely more dolls than the April meetup! It was a wonderful madhouse of doll owners, those who were interested in dolls but did not have one yet and even a few who had never heard of them before. I talked to one young man about their value in drawing and he was enthusiastic about it.

You know... Shuichi has a might fine backside.

Omg, so many dolls. So much cosplay! And one of those dolls was totally cosplaying from Ouran High School Host Club. LOVE.

Shu looks SO cute in that outfit. ♥ :D

The Mass. meetup you attended recently looked like it had a lot of dolls, too.

I wanted a better shot of the Kyou doll but was never able to get close enough.

The only 'problem' with that fuku was how dirty Shuichi got that day, showing all that skin.

It did. I haven't been able to go to the even-more-recent ones because of work, which makes me sad, because I /love/ some of those dolls.

And oh, yeeeeeeeesh. Dirty doll =/= fun. x_x

No other meetups have occurred in our area so far. I suspect everyone was gearing up for a-kon, and and now gearing up for animefest in September.

I feel VERY lucky to have my beautiful Shuichi! Iplehouse did a wonderful job with his faceup.

I doubt that the Demyx I want to make will turn out as good as he did since it'll be my first one...

LUTS does really great faceups and if you have a particular request, they have been known to do the work successfully, at least that's what I have read over at DoA.

I am new to the hobby myself - just started in March this year.
