Hitting a stall

I have hit a stall for the last month.  I am female, 5'6"  192 lbs.  I have tweaked things here and there, but haven't found the magic combination.  I have been trying to keep my calories around 1500 a day.   I have messed with the ratios of carbs/ fat/protein,  my latest was the percentages around 33/33/33.  I do cardio 5 days a week, for 60 ( Read more... )

What are you doing for cardio? I was walking on an incline for some time than needed to change to the eliptical machine and back again. For me, after several weeks, I need to switch things up, try different paces and angles...etc.

Sometimes I just have to muscle head and work through it as well. I wish I had better information but I certainly feel what you are saying. I hope you find something which will work for you.

I admit, I have become to complacent with my cardio. I mostly do the elliptical because it doesn't hurt my knees. I know I need to do the treadmill and gauntlet more. I hate the gauntlet, so that is definitely what I shoud add more into my routine ;)

What is the gauntlet?

Today I walked for an hour but I walked on an incline and at about 3.5 mph but after every 10 mins, I bumped it to 4.0.

Yesterday was an hour run and tomorrow shall be as well. I'm not sure how it would work for others...but its got me going pretty good. LOL

The gauntlet is like a mini escalator. So I just keep going up and up stairs. It kills me every time. I am trying to get the nerve up to start running. I am not sure why I am having a hard time wrapping my head around that one. I even ran cross country when I was in high school.
