So last night, my mom said something about how she was feeling really sick. It was very sudden, like 11:00 last night, and she told me her blood sugar (she's diabetic) was over 400, when it should be around 100. This morning she was even sicker, and her blood sugar was still well over 400. She had taken 8 units of insulin last night (which is a LOT), and it didn't do a thing. She was miserable this morning and her sugar was still through the roof, so I took her to the ER. That was around 9:30, and I just got home. They're keeping my mom for a while to do more tests and stuff... her white count is apparently really high and the doctor mentioned the possibility of meningitis. When I left the hospital, they were just about to do a spinal tap. Ayeesh.
It's sucky timing. I have to go to Michigan for the day tomorrow, so I can't be here for her, and I won't know what's going on. And I have to go back to school for good on Tuesday, which isn't cool if my mom's so sick. Blah.
So be in prayer for my mommy, if you will.
