So...as you can tell I never finished updating about NY, so...if you want to know about the rest of the trip you can ask me! (or look at the pictures on Facebook!)
Anways, when I took the GMAT last month I had to supply them with an email address. Apparently they then sent my GMAT scores and my email address to several graduate schools. I don't really care because unsolicited email doesn't bother me too much, I just delete it and move on with my life. The point though, is that now I have graduate schools emailing me to request that I apply to their school. Why is that significant? One was Notre Dame, and one is Pace University. I don't think that Pace is that big of a deal cause I don't really know anything about it, but I do know that it's in New York City. Actually, I know exactly where it is in NY because I remember seeing it both times I've been to NY. (I know some people with the last name of Pace, so it specifically stuck out to me.) Which translates to...I could go to school in NYC! Except that I can't. Because I'm already enrolled in the graduate program here and it's a five year program which will let me get my Bachelors and Masters at the same time, whereas I would think that these other universities are expecting me to show up having completed undergrad and work on my Masters for an additional two years. So my plan is better. Especially since if all goes well I'll actually graduate with both degrees in a total of 4.5 years. (4.5 years compared to 6...) But it's still a little hard, to see that I could go somewhere possibly much more exciting but that I've already chosen this path. <3
On another note, I remembered to go to my Friday class today which is a major accomplishment! I haven't had a Friday class since November 06 and therefore all week I've forgotten that my school week lasts through Friday at 12:20 and have been afraid that I would forget to attend. But I didn't forget! Go me!
