i have been known to smile so much my cheeks hurt.
& last friday was newmindspace's 'flight of fancy'. oh my oh my... it was outstanding. i wish more people could have experienced it. i faeried it up and alex made use of every bandana and scarf in my room and we met 150-ish costumed folk in queen's park
we hit the subway for a little bit of abnormal commuting.
just the usual newmindspace subway party. :D
we made our way down front street, drums and trumpets and all.
we didn't stop for traffic, traffic stopped for us.
there was a stilt-walker!
and a big sign!
and ninjas who climbed things!
i liked the marching band.
ari got naked in the fountain! :O alex break danced in it afterwards.
lori seemed happy with how everything was going (kevin too).
we stopped at a park for a while and played.
we made it to the distillery and caused a rukus there with our dance party.
we grabbed our "techno-bus" and made our way to cherry beach.
this is one of the few times we walked on the sidewalk.
bonfire time! it was big.
and don't forget our fire throwers. they were amazing.
that's real fire!
it was a drumming and dancing good time!
i had a couple shots of vodka and sat in the sand with my feet in the water a lot.

& the next day i checked out the markham rib-fest with my parents for a change of pace. i actually quite enjoyed it... amazing bbq chicken and corn and everything! and my dad bought me a couple of smirnoffs and who doesn't like free booze? i bought a meter long bag of kettle corn and eventually finished the whole thing. not so fitting with my diet but totally worth it.
& sunday went down to harbourfront to stop by the 'beats, breaks & culture' festival. saw lots of breakdancing and a documentary too! just a relaxing afternoon.
& last night kristen and i went to see 'giant killer shark: the musical'. GO SEE IT. it's a parody of 'jaws' done musical. they're amazing. it was written by a friend of mine from school and has a cast total of three. but so well done. i will go again if anyone wants to see it. and just after the show they found out they'd been chosen for 'top 6 of the fringe', which means they get to do some shows on the 'second city' stage with a huge crowd! they keep selling out the theatre they're in now and i know they'll sell this one too.
& vacation is only 11 days away! i bought a new bathing suit which i am in love with. yes, it is a bikini. it has not passed the hot test because i am the only one who has seen it, but -i- think it looks good.
& i have my fingers crossed for something that i've told some of you about, but i don't want to get too much into it. let's just say it would be a pretty big wish fulfillment. but i don't want to get my hopes up. i'll report more when i know more.
and FINALLY, I MISS YOU ALL. there's been so much talk of "i never see you" and "let's get together" and "where have you been?" but nothing done about it! fix fix fix. i will too. really really really.
