in other news, i'm off to work. i can't wait until spring break gets here. i think i'm going to nashville to see belle and sebastian & the new pornographers. also, i'm going to my dad's farm. sbux paid vacation hours = hotsex
i had an incredibly insane and trying day yesterday, but i watched yojimbo (kurosawa) this morning and i love my life nonetheless. i love yours too, contrary to popular opinion
things that i am thankful for:
~consciousness and everything that allows for it
~being enslaved by money, technology, and advanced thought rather than religion, ethnocentrism, shame, or fear
~my significant others (+ anyone who takes the time to read my thoughts)
~art, science, nature, culture, philsophy + my genuine respect for all of those entities
~my job
~my parents for their endless patience and devotion and allowing me to be me, even when they don't/can't understand me
"..and one day we will die, and our ashes will fly
from the aeroplane over the sea.
but for now we are young, let us lay in the sun
and count every beautiful thing we can see
how strange it is to be anything at all..."
