Local Band Member Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

Christopher Anthony Atkinson
Lead singer of local punk band is facing child porn charges. Police say Christopher Anthony Atkinson (a.k.a. Christian Atkins),23, was arrested on September 19. The Virginia Beach artist is charged with soliciting a minor to produce and send child pornography.
The arrest was the result of a month-long investigation between the Louisa Co. Sheriff's Office and Virginia Beach Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Detectives. The charges allege that Atkinson solicited a 16 year-old female from Louisa County to take explicit pictures of herself and send them to her.
He was held without bond in the Virginia Beach City Jail and will be transported to Louisa County for a bond hearing later this week. Atkinson is the lead singer in a local punk rock band in Virginia Beach by the name of "Celebrity Gunfight".
