Webcomic project !
It's been really a while I haven't made an original story (the last time was in 2007 I think, lol). I usually only make fanarts and stay in fandoms only, so it's really new to me haha. I was inspired by some wonderful comics so I decided to try make one too. And little by little, the idea grew, so now I may have an entire story to draw. So I'm very glad to have characters and to become quite obsessed by them haha.
Ho god I suck at describing but basically, it's the story of Lawrence (the guy on the image above) and Aslan who travel to search some ruins about magic and kind of investigate on it. So herm, I still don't know how to put the story and I still have a lot of plot holes, haha... But I have the main events in my mind, so yeah. I kind of have an idea for the prologue, introduction is the easiest part.
Lawrence, young and first version, I think it's going to be his definitive design, but there are things I want to change.
Lawrence, a little bit older and actual version for the main story. I still can't tell a lot about him, since I don't know his whole background. Just that he loves to eat, travel and collecting "old technology" from the past era. He's very calm, and doesn't talk a lot, also very lazy. Apparently a "kuudere", some variant of a tsundere and a mix of a cold and distant person, but sweet with people he loves (lol).
I like this soft and luminous effect for this drawing, it's quite good for the atmosphere of the story. I will use that method more often.
Aslan, the companion of Lawrence. A tsundere character and one of the last wizard. Yet he can't use magic (or don't know how). A dynamic, agressive character that doesn't get along with Lawrence. It's because of him if I made a world with more magic than I thought, haha.
I have no idea of his outfit's colors (same thing with Lawrence), it might be green or something, but I still don't know.
The main thing and problem, apart from the plot, is cities. I love love cities so much, so I'm researching about it. I really like how a city can evolve through years, change, and the whole story about it. The characters are going to be often in the main city and others ones, and I really want to put everything in it. Backgrounds, backggrounds everywhere. This is why it's going to take a while, because making a whole city is really, really hard.. (the map ajhdjfhkjghg). It's quite difficult to think about everything, haha. Since in this world, magic is a big part of technology, I have to think on how everything works OTL. Also because I still don't really know in what kind of era they live and what technology to use or not.
Though I made some sketches about the main city, called The Capital for the moment.
There are the main city, called "middle city" and the "high city" where all the rich people and the ones who rules it live. I still don't know if I'll put the "down city", if I can use it for the story.

I don't know if I'll make the comic in color or black and white, but I have a preference for B&W because it's going to be suicide in color. Maybe I'll do some little comics in color but not the main plot. Also I don't know how I'm going to publish it, I guess I have to learn to make a website, hahaha... And if I'll publish a page per week, or a whole chapter in a time. Well, first I have to think of the plot anyway.
I'll make updates with more sketches and informations, and see if I can make it o/
Also, not related at all, but people, watch Steins;Gate if you're not already watching. It's about time travel and it is awesome. You can see that the story is really well done. It's still airing, but I'm rewatching some episodes to analyze it, and god, it's amazing. Love this series so much, to the point I'm going to read the japanese visual novel.
