I spent the weekend packing and packing some more. I'm relatively pooped. Having a four year old sleeping in the same room as me... ugh. Not big with the sleep. He likes to get up three times a night to pee and then wants to chat. He's up at the crack of dawn to chat some more. And jump. And holler. And harrass the dog. Did I mention that I'm pooped?
I worked on my BtVS Santa gift over the weekend. It's a Spuffy little Christmas fic for a well-deserving LJ pal who swears she's been a very good girl this year. I want to try and update all fics before the move as future updates will be sporadic and limited after 12/15. I especially want to wrap up Tell Me No Lies. It was supposed to be a short fic and it just seems to have taken on a life of its own. I also want to write a little more on the tentatively titled billiard fic Something Money Can't Buy. That's been surprisingly fun to write and I've gotten wonderful reviews from my LJ friends. I appreciate the encouragement in my first NC-17 fic. BTW, the Santa fic... it's going to be NC-17, too. Yummy!
My mother-in-law called yesterday. She's excited about us coming. She's got the RV ready for us and even put in a 2' tall Christmas tree. Okay, maybe she's not so much evil as crazy. That's what Chris says she is... she's a nut-job. Mood swingy and such. I plan on being majorly avoidy as much as possible. The more I stay out of her way, the better we all get along.
I think I'm going to shoot off an e-mail to Adam at XL today about some fill-in work for him. I know he's short-staffed with Kid leaving. I still have my XL staff shirt and name tag. And I left on excellent terms.
I also need to call Taylor's old daycare and ask Stacy if he can spend the day there on the 15th while Chris, Steve and Bobby pack the moving truck. I love that I don't have to load it. I hate being the one to help pick up the big stuff like the fridge... stove... washer and dryer... that sucks. Owie.
