A Weekend's Hard Work

IT’S CLEAN!!!! Bwahaha!! I don’t really remember much of this weekend; it all just flew by in a whirlwind of cleaning frenzy. Odd, very odd. I think I may have been possessed by an alien spirit. Usually I’d look at the massive pile of stuff and become so disheartened that I’d quit after just a few hours and see no improvement, but not this time. I just started and kept on going. For 3 days I kept on going. It was amazing and damn did I get a ton done:
• All the dishes are out and in the kitchen being washed
• My whole closet has been cleaned out, scrubbed down, and spiders fumigated.
• All my shoes are paired and put away in my closet (on shelves not just stuffed in a box)
• All my laundry is done (save one load that is currently in the dryer and what I was wearing yesterday)
• All clothes are folded and put away
• All trash has been bagged and taken out
• 4 bags are ready to be taken to Goodwill
• 3 bags are ready for Courtenay to sort through and see what she would like out of them (all remaining items will also be sent off to good will)
• Floor is clean and vacuumed (woot)

All that’s left is my bookshelf, my bed, and the odds and ends that I haven’t found a home for as of yet (which is a decent amount). To bring another dresser in, I’ll need to move some other furniture out (which I want to do anyway) but it means I’ll have to start on part two of this project as soon as I get back from Gencon; cleaning out and organizing my “living room” in the basement. Oddly enough I think it’ll be a lot easier than the campaign in my bedroom. God I’ll be so happy to have this done and my rooms clean. Having it a disaster area was so draining, like the mess would leach all the positive energy out of me as some sort of defense against me having the energy to clean it. When it’s clean it just feels soooo much better. Finally a place me to go and recharge, a space of my own, god I’m so happy. Not to mention all the clothes I’ve been searching for that are now safely cleaned and folded and put in their place ^_^ And Loki likes it too. Last night I don't think he'd ever seen so much clear floor, he spent the whole night just running and jumping and playing his little heart out.
