journal number #42. i completed this one on 09-06-12, but again i haven't been overly focused on talking about it here. tonight i'm feeling somewhat unfocused and restless so i thought i might write here to help with that.
i was actually in the process of starting #43. i had laid out the design and i was planning the colors of the items i would use, but my heart just isn't into it right now so i figured i should hold off. this next one i plan to work on some embossing, and right now i'm just not feeling it. and i want it to turn out nice so i'm going to hold. this next one is going to be more of an experiment for me. i used a stamp of a spooky tree to cut out the pattern i will emboss the paper around. right now i'm toying with the idea of that double sided japanese paper in a rich brown color with brown book strap and what will no doubt be brown, olive, or black thread. this will probably be one of the books that i end up keeping because no one else will enjoy it as much as i do.
lately i have found myself becoming more and more interested in horror stories, so this book will speak to that part of my current interests. in fact lately i would much rather spend my time reading than watching any form of tv.
i just wish i had a talent for writing stories. it would be fun to make one of these books with the purpose of writing my own story.
