(no subject)
i'd been putting posting about these two journals mostly because of distractions in my life lately. which, quite frankly i'm getter sick of. distractions of loneliness, then interest, then happiness and finally dissapointment. it seems hardly worth it and that i could be spending my time better on other things. like writing about my day / life and the things i am doing. as trivial as it may seem it at least doesn't fail.
don't mind me. i'm a little bitter from talking to a girl for 2 weeks, only to find out she started seeing someone last week and didn't think to say anything and let me continue on like a fool.
still, here are journals #40 and #41.
#40 i ended up giving this one to my brother mason for a new sketch book. the cover is made of that "chalkboard" type paper that allows you to draw on the cover with chalk. the thickness was actually a little troublesome to work with and when i folded the paper over the boards the finish on the paper cracked a little. i was able to fill in the holes because i happened to have some "mouse grey" ink that matched the color of the book pretty closely.
#41 was sort of a remake of an earlier journal. i used the same cover paper and book cloth as before, but the inside fly sheet is different, added the book strap and completed sewing this one with a 2 needle coptic stitch in olive and butterscotch. i ended up posting this to facebook which i don't normally do and one of mom's friends saw and it wanted to buy it. so this one never even made it to etsy either.
