This last Monday was the best Valentines Day I've had.
This girl I really like alot drove all the way to my house since I was too tired to go down and pick her up in Dunkirk to take her to Annapolis and back. I was so excited to see her even though I was worn out. And she brought a cute friend, whom I also like alot. It turns out though, that I am in LOVE with the first, so we spent the evening together.
It's one thing to give a girl valentines, but it's a much better thing to give your Valentine valentitnes on St. Valentines Day. She smiled very big and hugged me. The grand finally was a long-sleeve white night-shirt with a picture of us cuddled, ironed on the front.
We went to Annapolis for the Second-Best Hot Chocolate in the city. (Mama's was closed.) After that we took a 20-spot my mom spotted us and got a great sandwhich and some crab soup and dip at a fun deli. It was huge, and orange, and had an inn upstairs. The food was really good.
The trip was short, but Annapolis is far more romantic than even the few visits we've made there can tell. Just being there reminds me of elecrtifying kisses that have happened on this or that sidewalk, of fun we've had sitting by the water or looking for our future house, and of tasty hot chocolate we get everytime we go, planning how we'll give Norma a pass-along card next time we see her. (And we WILL, next time we see her.) And as we walked down the main drag on Valentine's day, we could look back over our shoulders and see the window of the State House Inn Prince George Suite looking down at us. The lights were on and I smiled when this girl I love pointed it out.
Her name is Meggan Anderson. I wouldn't trade her for the world.
