Had another relaxing weekend! Horray! I feel normal again.
Everquest 2 Action
I booked a flight and hotel reservations at the Las Vegas Hilton to attend the EQ2 Fan Fest. I hope to see Tom and Maura there, since we haven't seen them in a while. I leveled my Barbarian zerker to 23 and did writs for my new guild
Spellbound. They are the best guild I've ever been in! The leaders are always active and are willing to chat with me on almost any topic. They have regular events and all the players are mature and helpful -- there seem to be a large number of people willing to do what you want to do! Amazing! They don't even mind when I stop to harvest shrubberies for my provisioner. Nothing is for free though; you have to earn their trust just like in any friendship...which is cool. Joel came over Sunday to play EQ2 with us. Group made it to the Isle of Zek with the help of a Fury who decided to join us. I also got my Mystic to level 28! Hooray us! I also crafted a bunch of food for the group and got to Provisioner Level 22! The new foods are fun since they buff stats now. Joy for Tier 3 foods! I think I'll run her with Spellbound and book it to level 30; we'll need the healing power.
Fable
Sig beat Fable last night with a good character. He's going to play it again this time with me helping him build his financial empire in the game. I don't like twitched based combat, but its got a cute trade-econ system. This character's theme is Fat Evil Wizard. I also signed us up for
GameFly and we have DOA Ultimate and Dark Alliance 2 to try out on our new Xbox (Tom got us that...he rocks!). Next on the GameFly list is Jade Empire.
Miniatures!
Did some mini painting while watching Master & Commander on DVD. It was an okay movie. Tried some new fleshing techniques on the mini, its okay...need to read up on it more. We also got a wet palette. It's a smart little thing that keeps our paints from drying out. I also learned a big tip on saving superglue: keeping it in the fridge makes it last longer!
