The aunties are always talking about this Karang Guni Lorry that will come on weekdays.
What's so special about it?
According to them, it really pays for you to bring newspapers, cans, unwanted electronics etc to the Karang Guni Lorry instead of selling it to those who go door by door to collect. The rate that they offer is very attractive!
Me & Mom carried 22 kg of newspapers to the lorry which was parked a few blocks away. Exhaustive task.
Guess how much we received.
A surprising $6.15 (to be accurate, it's $6.16) ! This is equivalent to $0.28 per kg of newspapers!
Amazing eh. If we sell it to those who collect it from us at our doorsteps, they will only give us 1 or at most $2 for the newspapers shown in the picture.
For those who are interested, it's parked at the carpark (Blk 536 Bedok North Street 3).
The above is cookies bought from the Powerpuff Girls pushcart at the Business School Entrance.
It costs me $1.20 to support my friend, Pei Qi.
She and her friends will be selling homemade sweet treats for this whole week.
For those who will be in TP this week, please visit the pushcart and show them your support!
The cookies are nice, am not being biased here.
