Was that title catchy enough to get you to read on?
There are people whose lives are ruled by their fears. Fears such as: getting hurt by others, speaking the truth, being wrong, their own shortcomings. The fears that they hold on to...hold them back.
They are toddlers in life.
Not seeing it?
Just think of when you were a toddler and you took your first step. You fell. It hurt. You cried. You got back up again. You kept trying until you accomplished the task. You learned to walk, then run, jump, etc.
Now think of all the "steps" in your life. disagreeing friends, miscommunication with lovers, your own personality... You "fall". It hurts. You cry. Do you get up again?
Those who are ruled by their fear...stay toddlers. They choose to not get back up again. Sure toddlers can be cute and fun. But how much time do you really like to spend with them without intelligent adult company?
Those who overcome their fears choose to get back up time and time again. They grow into teenagers and then adults. We all are toddlers in some areas of our lives, teenagers in others, and adults in yet other parts.
The thing to remember: Keep getting back up.
