How to have a fun 4th with no fireworks.

Well, first of all, I just want to say that we went to see Transformers on the 3rd. That movie = LOVE. Bryon gave it an 8/10 because he did have a few issues with it, as a fan, but they were fairly minor and not enough to keep him from loving the movie. I gave it a 12/10 because for two and a half hours, I was completely riveted, Transformers fan or no, and I just had SO much fun watching the movie that I think I would be buying it on DVD when it comes out whether I was dating Bryon or not.

Anyway, on to the 4th... we had planned to go to the Harvard Glass Flowers exhibit at the Corning Museum of Glass, one which, though CMOG is 20-25 mins from my house, I had ironically read about on My Little Mochi, which is based out of Hawaii. Talk about feeling silly. Anyway, the weather was so gloomy and gross that we ended up just hanging about the apartment, watching a little One Piece, until about 4. We got in the car, and started driving to CMOG, but halfway there I looked at the rain, looked at Bryon, and said "Screw this, let's go to Red Lobster." So we did. We had a lovely meal, then returned home to watch One Piece for the rest of the evening. All the fireworks shows were being postponed due to weather, and it was just a great night to stay at home watching something fun.

I also picked up the Monkey sock I started months and months ago. I'm just past the heel; the cats had customized it for me a few weeks ago (neatly detaching the ball of yarn from the sock, thanks guys) but I'm moving forward, hoping that I will squeak by with just enough yarn. I guess I should have done the Januaary One mini-Monkeys. *shrug*

I hope everyone had a lovely 4th, no matter what you ended up doing!

Oh yeah, for anyone who (like me) didn't know about this yet:
