Summary : One year and a half after Nino and Ohno broke up :9
NOTE: I made it like HanaDan, where all the schools are connected, like those same students go to the same middle school and then to the same high school and then to the same college.

"Will you stop it already!?"
"Not until you tell me!"
"Just let it go, I didn't mean it."
"You so did, I saw it on your face! Now tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me, tellmetellmetellme" Aiba begged Nino more while poking his right arm.
"Ugh! Stop it!! I said it because I wanted to make Ohno jealous, okay!?" Nino answered annoyed, regretting so much having started this plan with Aiba.
"Ohno?" Aiba was fulled with curiosity now, there was no way he would let this one go by.
"ugh..." Nino scratched the back of his head and explained, "Ohno, the one that was passing by us, the one with short hair and sleepy eyes and chubby cheeks," and unconsciously, Nino let out a caring smile while describing his past lover.
"Ohhhh, so you like him?" Aiba still didn't get what Nino was explaining.
"Me? Like him? I don't think so."
"That doesn't sound convincing, I know you well."
"The bell rung already, let's hurry up or we'll be late," Nino said as he was begging inside that Aiba would NEVER mention what had happened today again.
Both Aiba and Nino now went to their second class together, and on their way, both of them saw an image that was plain sudden and unexpected at the same time, coming their way. Aiba Masaki's one-sided crush, Sakurai Sho, and Ninomiya Kazunari's past lover, Ohno Satoshi were friendly, perhaps more than friendly, talking with each other. Sho was laughing and as Nino saw, he was definitely laughing at some clumsy yet cute mistake Ohno had probably just made. Yes, just like he used to do it, at that same place where he, Sakurai Sho, was at, while Ohno pouted cutely.
He felt sudden emptiness and pain, but he was not the only one, for Aiba took action before him and pulled Nino's arm and said, "lets go this way," and feigned a smile, but his eyes clearly looked hurt. It wasn't unusual to see Aiba like this, since every once in a while when he started crushing on someone, he showed his jealousy even when his crush was just casually talking and smiling to another person that was not himself.
Nino didn't know if Aiba was just plain jealous, or was it because the men that them two friends liked were with each other, having fun while they just stared at their unrequited loves.
Having reached a place where no one was at sight, Nino randomly spouted, "I told you I don't like him!"
Taken by surprise, Aiba said nothing and just stared at Nino who was looking down, somewhat mad, annoyed and confused.
"Yes, I loved him, he WAS my everything, not anymore, I don't care with who he goes out with!" Yes, as Aiba had predicted, Nino had snapped, as much as he, Nino, didn't want to admit it, Ohno was much more engraved in his heart than he thought, but that was no wonder since Ohno had been the first person he loved romantically the most.
"Nino, calm down..." Even for Aiba, who knew him almost all his lifetime, had just seen Nino snap once before, and that was when their parents divorced and had fights over him every single day.
"But I don't like him... I... He..." Nino couldn't manage to say anything more, for his eyes were getting full with tears, having an inner battle with himself, Nino's pride didn't allow his tears to start flowing out unless he was alone.
"I get it, just calm down," Aiba was at lost, not knowing what he could do for his friend who was still in love with his past lover or if Nino was just talking to himself to get all this out of his system.
"You don't get it! I probably still love him..." Nino continued as he suddenly looked at Aiba in the eyes with tear-filled eyes, "I don't want that..."
Again, Aiba knew how Nino was about his relationships with other people, never wanting to care much about others, always scared of getting hurt, since that day, almost two years ago, when he decided to not talk to anyone, completely, until Aiba managed to talk some sense into it. Then again, that was not enough, for Nino still didn't want to talk or get along with other people who would most likely hurt him mercilessly, yes, just like him.
"I'm sorry, I lost it a bit there," Nino managed to come back to his senses after Aiba shock him a little and rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand and flashed a hurt smile to Aiba, who was seriously worried. "I'm okay," he added.
Since it was obvious Nino didn't want to bring that subject up again, Aiba just let out a cheerful, "okay, then let's go!" while placing both hands on Nino's shoulder, pushing him slowly, letting him lead the way, and leaving all of Nino's problems behind, knowing fully well Nino trusted in him to tell him about his past lover. For the first time, Aiba felt he had become closer to Nino since talking about Nino's love life had always been taboo.

"I love you, I wa-"
Nino woke up from his sleep and from his dream he just had with Ohno confessing his love to him. His deep voice in his ears still lingered like that very first time Ohno had told him those simple three words. Just get over it, Ninomiya Kazunari. Nino told himself throughout the morning, but that was, of course, easier said than done.
Aiba waited for him outside his house and just like always, and as soon as they started walking towards school, Aiba started telling Nino about his most recent found out news about Sho through his superb stalking methods.
"-and then, I found out that actually Ohno Satoshi had a boyfriend until yesterday and-" Aiba stopped talking when he suddenly remembered Nino's confession.
Taking notice of his silence and of Aiba hands, which he had put both hands over his mouth, Nino said, "It's okay, I want to know," and added a hurtful smile.
Aiba didn't go against his friend's wishes and continued talking, "well, apparently, yesterday Senpai was asking him why they broke up and from people who were eavesdropping, Ohno-senpai said because he was in love with another person."
So he already moved on, huh...
"BUT! what if that person is you, Nino!!??" Aiba gave Nino some hope, but the latter just added an apathetic laugh and said, "as if."
"Come on! You know it could be you!"
"Shut up already, you're being too loud," and even though he said so, Nino still kept some hope within himself.
Three minutes of complete silence, and then Nino mumbled, "Maybe..." after noticing that Ohno looked their way as they were entering the school building.
"What?"
"Nothing."
As slow as always, Aiba noticed Ohno and asked with the most serious face Nino had ever seen on him, "What do you like about him?"
Nino gasped, taken by surprise by that question, for no one, not even Satou, had ever asked him that. But what surprised him the most was that he couldn't think of a one sentence answer.
Instead of responding to Aiba's question, he asked him while moving his head to the right, indicating Sakurai Sho who he was talking about, who was sitting in a bench reading alone, "what do YOU like about him?"
"Uwaaa, that's hard. For starters, I like, well, more like love his personality, always hardworking at everything, there's also his bright smile that makes me melt. Oh! and don't forget his body, it's just unff, then there's when he we-"
"Wait, okay, forget I asked," said Nino with his eyes closed and hand in front of Aiba's face, telling him it was time to stop with his love talk.
"But you asked, don't blame me," whined Aiba.
Ugh, I should had known better... Nino started to complain in his mind, only to be distraught by an energetic Aiba who started praising Sho's clothes in a loud voice and Nino didn't doubt that Sho could clearly hear him, for a smug formed in his, Sho's, lips while he was supposedly reading a book about politics.
Nino face-palmed and in a low voice, just for his friend to hear, asked, "Why are you so obvious?" Thought for a second and then added, "Don't tell me that's how you always act whenever you see him?"
"Yes, why?"
"haha, he probably already knows you like him. Isn't that good, you don't have to confess anymore."
Aiba's eyes widen and started pulling Nino's arm just like a kid would do with their mom, "ne, ne, Nino, that's not good, what do I do now? You're lying, right?"
"He knows already, there's nothing you can do about that already, I'm sorry I'm not much of help here."
"But...!"
"Just let it go, okay?"
"..."
"By the way, you can leave after school by yourself, I'll be staying to do a make-up test for last week when I was absent."
"For third period?"
"Yes, how do you know?"
"Because I was asked to go too, since my grades have been low to begin with," Aiba said with a shy laugh, laughing at his own failing grades.
"Then-"
Aiba now interrupted Nino, "I saw the list of those who were to go, and apparently, your crush will also need to be there."
"My crush?" Nino feigned not knowing who he was talking about, secretly wishing he wouldn't utter Ohno's name.
"Who else? Ohno Satoshi."
"Oh." Nino pretended not being interested and started walking towards his first period class, secretly anticipating how Ohno would react if they were to be in the same classroom.
Now this chapter is longer than the last one D:
and I'm sorry for posting this late(it's Monday 6am where I live) since I'll be going to school in about an hour or so, so that the comments can keep me entertained during class :P
