Age: 14 - born sometime in late March. (Godamnit, timelines.)
Height: I am guesstimating that she's at least 5'8"?
Weight: ...whatever normal is?
Medical Info: Normal 13 year old girl! One scar on her abdomen that a professional could tell was not surgical.
Eyes: Grey.
Hair: Brown.
Physical traits: Tall for her age, slightly well developed, and physically fit. Also, for the curious, her PB is a mix of random stock images from Corbis and Amelia Warner. Three out of five RPers can't be wrong!
What's Okay To Mention Around Her: Nita is from the end of Wizard's Holiday, not Wizards at War. Please, please do not spoil for the events at Wizards at War. But other then that...if it's potentially sensitive, ask. If you want to talk about wizardry, do pull her aside to talk privately.
Abilities: Other then being a bookish but not brilliant scholastically, Nita can use the Speech (the language of all living things, essentially) to redefine certain physical effects and rules, ask inanimate objects to do her small favors. Basically, magic. She tries to do this in a subtle and mostly non intrusive way--unless the situation is dire, she won't do it in a way that non-wizards that she hasn't come out to will notice, even though she's more or less open about it now.
This has a personal strain on her in terms of energy which she "pays" after the spell goes off, either immediately or at a point in the future, unspecified or not. In comparison, a boiling a kettle of water instantly takes as much energy running up a flight of stairs. Spells always "work" in some way or another, even if the effect is unintentional, because there are no coincidences for wizards. These spells are not generally "huge", but they can be "large", like transporting people to the moon, or telling her sisters' bed to stay on Pluto until school ends. She can cast larger spells as well, but tends to do so only out of dire need, and they're very expensive (unspecified favor to the Powers, years off her life, things like that).
She caries a number of all-but-done spells on what looks like a charm bracelet on her, but is actually a spell matrix, and also has access to her own personal hammer space. And generally, she's working on a project of some sort and probably two, so she'll make spells liked to spells linked to spells, too and have them "running" in her mind, ready to go with a few words.
Because of their relationship with words and coincidence, no wizard should speak a lie. There are consequences for every lie that comes back to the wizards. Most wizards get around this by misdirection and partial truths, but the closer to the actual interpretation of truth, the better, and in fact, the stronger the overall truth of the wizard the more powerful the wizard is. And speaking lies in the Speech change a lot of things. (You can change your gender if you say your name in the Speech the right way, for instance.)
I speculate that Nita is also probably her generation's polymage, which is defined in
this article on the YW wiki as Once in every few human generations a wizard comes along who truly embodies the concept of the polymage: a wizard good at nearly every subset of the Art he turns his hand to, but utterly spectacular at his specialty. Said mage is usally never aware of their specialness, by the way. For a list of her specializations and the like, go
here.
Notes for the Psychics: Nita can sometimes "overhear" thoughts that are large. It's easier if she and the person get along well. Other then that, her mind is controlled and partially shielded. Yay wizardry discipline? She's also somewhat homesick and sometimes misses her mom.
Can I shapeshift/bodyswap/spit at/step on/etc?:Drop me a line first, please!
Maim/Murder/Death: Same as the above, although I'd prefer to avoid death as much as possible. Also, in general? The YW cast is "fight to defend" only. And none of us save with the moogles because it is, in fact, a violation of the Oath.
Cooking: After her mother's death, Nita took over a lot of cooking in her house, so yes.
