Six months = One tiny post.

Apparently it's about time I did one of my six monthly LJ updates...

The short version is this: I have a new job, I live in a new place, and I have new friends.

The long version goes something like this:

About a month after my last post I moved in with a couple of great girls, and have been experiencing some of the many joys of share-housing ever since. Believe it or not, I've been here in this house for six months and only just started putting things up on my bedroom walls and making it more into home rather than just some place I sleep. I have two wonderful housemates, and one challenging one (who is moving out shortly anyway).

My new job is up in Brisbane, so it now takes me roughly an hour and a half to get to work each day. I take the train at some horrific ungodly hour of the morning and play my PSP for an hour an a quarter. Then I walk for 10-15 minutes up a hill, get all flustered and sweaty and make my graceful entrance at work. I'm now a public servant instead of a poor private sector slave.

When it comes to friends, I've got a few absolutely fantastic beautiful women in my life who I still sometimes wonder how they picked me to be their friend. I even have a group of friends who are like a surrogate family, and I absolutely love it.

To be honest, life's pretty good right now. There's been moments where I've been sad (eg. having my Dog put down a few weeks ago) and moments where I've just been frustrated out of my tree (eg. Typical Housemate Moments) but over all, I've had a really good six months. I'd have to declare the pivotal point as being when I was in Sydney for Hillsong Conference in July.

When I came home from my week away my Manager at work commented that I was like a whole different person. God really set me free from a lot of the crap I'd been carrying around, and I am so grateful for that. My church is pretty cool right now, and I'm looking forward to what's coming up in the next 12 months - both in church stuff and in work/life.

I've honestly run out of stuff to say, so I will wait until I have something else to post about before I write anymore!
