Looking at the good.

Things have been looking up. School is going well, teaching is actually great and life in general sucks less than usual. I feel like I have had a growth spurt. I feel matured, and prepared. The next chapter of my life begins in 8 weeks. I will have a degree, a teaching liscence and I will be leaving. I am moving to California on May 11th. I will be staying with my sister in San Diego for the summer and during that time I will be looking for a car, a job and a home in Los Angeles. I will also be going to graduate school part time to get my masters in Special Education. Mike will (hopefully) be joining me in LA by September to go to Film School and start fresh.

I feel like knowing these things has made it easier for me to get through each day. I am not living blindly in my head, constantly wondering and trying to figure out what the hell to do with myself.

So Monday was great, Mikey made me such a nice birthday dinner, and got me flowers and these two purses I was eyeing! It was a really great day. On Friday I had a 90's party, it was silly and I had a great time... unfortunately I was very hungover yesterday... I haven't gotten sick like that since my freshman year. Anywho, it was worth it.

Oh and yesterday we had an ice storm! Fun Fun, the power was flickering around 6pm and finally Mike was outside cleaning off my car and we saw a giant blue flash! Like a giant bug was being sucked into a giant bug zapper. Mike saw a transformer in the woods blow up! And that's when we lost power... ugh! Such a hassle.

So we stayed in and had a candel lit chinese dinner lol and had a shadow puppet show. Sometimes it's the simple things that make your realize how grateful you should be.
