for a roll of quarters. We seemed to be plagued by our lack of change--and our laundry has suffered. We managed to do 3 loads of laundry this weekend and have about 2 more to go. It's our quest to finish one room. I think if we can get the laundry done and some pictures up and that hole puttied, we will have one completely moved-in room. So exciting.

I am reading my favorite georgette heyer book right now: The Grand Sophy. Sophy is just an awesome character. She is quick-witted, funny, headstrong (for her time period) and well-intentioned. She moves in with her aunt and all her cousins and helps guide them all. Like Maria in Sound of Music--but not nun-like in the least. And of course, she fights most with the eldest cousin, Charles, who is the gentleman in charge (charles is in charge) of the house. Charles is engaged to the most vexing woman ever and Sophy wants to break off their engagement because it is so obvious how their union will destroy the family. Little does she know, she desires herself to take Miss Wraxton's place!

Oh yes, I just finished Jonathon Strange and Mr. Norrell and that was SO AMAZING. I also started reading short stories by Alice Munro.

I also got the most amazing book on houseplants from the library. I am not going to kill anymore of my houseplants because now I know how to care. It has how to pot, propagate, trim, etc. So exciting.

I baked bread yesterday. I think the orange juice that I used in my previous loaf is definitely needed when baking with whole wheat, because it helps with the bitterness.

Today, I must get those poems ready to be submitted and get quarters (!!!) and maybe go to a hockey game. Do I even like hockey? No, not really. It's a shame. But it is Bruins v Caps.

And then to bed--I had a nightmare this morning. It woke me up because it was awful and terrifying. I want to sleep well tonight so P and I can definitely have waffles.
