APE HOUSE Sara Gruen

I've been doing very little reading lately. But, as I'm a huge fan of Sara Gruen (RIDING LESSONS, FLYING CHANGES, and of course WATER FOR ELEPHANTS) I did make time for APE HOUSE

Unlike reviewers, I'm not going to rehash the synopsis (you can read it here at Sara Gruen's APE HOUSE) but let me just say that I loved this book. Fast-paced, thought-provoking, both sad and funny, with believable (and occasionally bizarre) characters...and of course: the bonobos!

Honestly, I didn't even know what a bonobo was till I read this book: Bonobos at WIKI

Just look at that faaaace! The bonobos are some of the most loveable and intriguing characters in this novel. Sara's passion for animals rings clear and true in all of her novels, and this one is no exception. A fun, fast read!

And yes, WATER FOR ELEPHANTS will be hitting the big screen in April!
