With 15 days left until E-day the campaign is reaching its boiling point. While campaigning in Florida, a state rich with seniors, Kerry quoted an article appearing in the New York Times Magazine that quoted Bush as saying he will "come out strong in a second term with fundamental tax reform, tort reform, privatizing of Social Security." Privatization of Social Security is a hot button issue for seniors and those baby boomers that will reach retirement age in a decade or so. The Bush camp claims Kerry is trying to scare seniors into submission. In response Kerry's camp released a new advertisement denouncing the president. Some figures used were that the president will create a 1.2 trillion dollar hole in Social Security and that his policies will actually raise the national deficit. And, of course, the Bush people renounced these figures. With only 2 weeks left until the big day the campaigns are churning out their most viable solutions to seeing that the opposition is defeating in an overwhelming way.
