Patriot Act

The American Civil Liberties Union has started an aggressive campaign to debunk and rid the US of the Patriot Act. Citing a ruling in September that part of the law was unconstitutional the ACLU has starting calling Congressmen to revisit the bill and change some key points they deem infringe on the liberties of every citizen. Some issues are: what is defined as "illegal" search and seizure, what evidence can be used in a court case (stretching circumstantial definition) and how people can be identified, such as in an airport. The ACLU calls on citizens to speak up against certain parts of the Patriot Act, not by being part of a political party but by being an American. They state "Keep America Safe and Free" as their slogan.
