Something nice about UCLA
I think the theme of the past five weeks has been "collaborative spirit." As in, we're all screwed so let's try to make each other's lives a little better by being friendly and helpful. It's really a comforting thought to know that everyone is suffering as much as you are, and that they're willing to share whatever knowledge they have, expecting nothing in return. Folks don't really care about messing up curves, they just care that others around them are happy. It's nice.
Something not so nice about UCLA: the quarter system and science majors. I've had midterms for the past five weeks. Next week I have a break, and then the week after that I have a final, and then the week after that is three more. Not to mention homework problem sets due Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (sometimes Tuesday), and quizzes every other week.
