So, I watched the movie Good Luck Chuck and had this horrible realization... I am "Chuck". *sigh*
In case you haven't seen the movie, here is a brief synopsis:
A man breaks up with his long-time girlfriend only to see her get engaged to the next guy she dates. The same pattern occurs with his next girlfriend, and continues to repeat. All of a sudden he finds himself becoming a lucky charm for women, who all want to date him.
My situation isn't EXACTLY the same. Basically, EVERY guy that I want to date suddenly finds "THE ONE" after I proclaim my interest.
Let's go through the list*:
There was the guy from high school that suddenly came back into my life. we started talking and then he had to go out of town for work. He called me and told me he had met the one. 2 months later they were married.
There was the certain DJ that I obsessed over who finally got it right with the one who "had paid her dues."
There was the Army guy that had made tons of plans for us to hang out when he got back into town. Of course, while away at school, he met a girl. 5 wks later, they were engaged.
There was the guy who always came back into my life when he broke up with his girlfriends. This last time, I really thought it might work out. I finally tried to make a move, only to have his friends introduce him to their nanny. They plan on getting married soon.
There was the exboyfriend who I caught up with at our friend's wedding. We hung out all night and talked about starting over. We hung out for a while then he met some girl and they got married.
There was the guy from San Antonio that I had dated. After a year apart, we started talking again only to have another of his ex-girlfriends call him about the same time. She lived in the same town. Guess who he picked? I heard through a friend that they are now engaged.
There are more I'm sure. Unfortunately, I'm sick and my brain is running on half full. Oh well. The point is.. apparently I'm good luck for a guy who is looking to find a hot girl to marry.
I know everything happened they way it was supposed. I'm not complaining about that. I just wish for once, the odds would be in MY favor :P
