my birthday is over. but the party's not over.
thursday was that remodeling show. i went with three guys from school. we just talked all the way down to chicago. they are pretty interesting cats. its going to be really fun for the next couple years. they'll be in a lot of my classes. the show was pretty cool too. i got a lot of free stuff. i even met big tom from survivor. that was really cool because he was mark's favorite guy. he autographed a picture for mark's parents and i got a shirt. i entered a cordless screwdriver contest and i did pretty good on time. 22 seconds. i beat this mike kid from school so i was feeling pretty good about it. i've never used one of those before so i really felt cool. that was an awesome day. after that i had to get home and pack for the weekend. i'm staying with my dad for my birthday.
i had a pretty good birthday. i actually woke up on time and made it to work on time. bonnie bought me cupcakes and a little balloon. that was cool. we found a tree frog in the warehouse and i named him francis. we gave him to dawn. dawn gave me a pretty purple pen. linda bought me lunch. the day went really fast. my sister and i just talked and bonded all day. everyone said it was weird that i would rather work on my birthday, but its not like work. my job is really fun, so i don't mind at all. plus i get to see my sister so its cool. i kept bugging my crush all day and asking him where my present was, but he didn't get me anything. after work i had to stop at the bank. my crush said he had to go to so i told him we should race. ofcourse he beat me because i didn't know the shortcut. he waited for me though and we went in together. he also beat me in the bank line. i figured he walked out to his car but on my way out i saw him in line. we walked out together and he told me to have a good weekend. i said ok. and then out of nowhere he asked me if he could take me out for a drink because he can't make it to my birthday party. i said no but then i changed my mind. i usually don't go out on my birthdays but i like spending time with him. he's actually a really interesting guy. we always have fun. so he took me to the mineshaft. but not the mineshaft arcade. i was only going to stay for one. one turned into three. i had planned on going to my dad's and having dinner and shopping for the party and stuff. so i had to get going. i was getting pretty hammered. so we walked to the parking lot and wound up talking for almost an hour. i finally asked him what i've been waiting to ask him and i didn't get a straight answer. it was weird. see, a few weeks ago, we finally had a "talk" and he basically told me that he thought i was a really fun person. really nice, and weird in a good way. but that he didn't like me as much as i liked him. i tried and i tried to get over it. to look at him as just a friend. but i can't. there's a spark there for me and i like him. so much. anyway. i said i didn't understand why he wouldn't want to go out with someone that was nice and fun. i said either you think i'm ugly or i'm just not your type. so whats your type? i figured he would say blonde big boobs blah. he said brunette with blue eyes. so i'm missing the blue eyes. he just said that my big brown eyes freak him out. i finally left after that. i don't know what to think on a day to day basis with him. so that's how i've decided to take it. day to day. he knows exactly how i feel. i was up front and honest about it. i guess thats the best i can do. i finally made it to my dad's around 7. his girlfriend and him decorated the house. its so cute. they even got me a candy bouquet. i didn't think i would get any other presents so that was a nice surprise. then my dad unloaded my car for me and we took his new truck out to dinner. its huge but its so nice to have leg room. its definitely a family truck. i like it. dinner was awesome. afterwards we went to have a nice day cafe because scuba steve had a party down there. free beer. met a few of his friends. a few guys that knew mark and work at quad. danced a little with my dad's girlfriend. it was pretty fun. then we came home and watched a movie. a ron white comedy movie. it was pretty funny. all in all it was a pretty good birthday. i got something i really wanted without even asking for it. hanging out with my crush was an awesome present. we always have fun from my point of view. not sure about his. always have fun with my dad and his girlfriend too. i feel really loved today. my aunt wished me a happy birthday. my grandma tattoo called me. my mom sang in the phone. friends called. people at work. jack. it was just really nice to feel that way. i can't wait for tomorrow. have to get up early and go shopping with my dad and his girlfriend for the party! i can't wait. i think they are really excited about it. so cute.
