pinup girl
I love the clothes that pinup girls wore in the 50s. So cool. I remember, Ariel and I went to the Museum of Sex in NYC, and we were there for this awesome exhibit called Vamps and Virgins. All this stuff about the history of pinup girls, etc. There was stuff from back in the 19th century, erotic (or really just plain vulgar) photography, and media. It's really fascinating to me how the way the pinup girl is portrayed echoes the political and social airs of the day. Anyway, back to clothing. I HIGHLY reccommend the site dangerdame.com for these swanky clothing needs. Tres chic, in a retro-Betty Paige-Lolita-femme noir sort of way. J'adore. My personal favorite dress is Lucy in Wonderland.
