Hannah (Part V)
Donghae ran around his apartment, grabbing this and that to add to his already full to the brim backpack.
"Got the shrimp chips, nuts, dried squid, more chips....What else, what else?" He mumbled to himself. "Ah! Candy! I'm forgetting candy!"
He opened a cupboard and pulled out a bag of star shaped candies and stuffed it in his bag.
"Here we go!" With a grunt he zipped his backpack up and hoisted it onto his shoulder. He punched a few numbers on his cellphone and waited impatiently for the person to pick up.
"HYUNG!" Donghae yelled excitedly once Yesung picked up. "Are you ready for tonight?!"
Yesung chuckled. "Oh, yes! Wait til you see the booze I'm bringing!"
"Awesome!" Donghae grinned. "Meet you there?"
"Meet you there!"
Meanwhile, Hankyung paced his apartment, staring guiltily at the text message he just sent Yesung and Donghae.
"I'm really sorry but something came up. Can we celebrate another day?"
His cellphone beeped once, signaling an incoming message. He opened it and instantly felt even guiltier.
"HYUNG! Are you okay?! What happened?!"
"I'm fine," Hankyung typed. "I'm not injured. It's just something came up that's all."
His cellphone beeped again, right after he replied to Donghae. This time the message was from Yesung.
"I want details later."
Hankyung frowned and quickly texted a reply back.
"I promise I'll make it up to you guys."
"Beep, beep!"
"Call me later!" said the one from Donghae.
"Ok..." said the one from Yesung.
Hankyung sighed and put his phone down on the table that he had come to lean against.
"What am I doing?"
After receiving Hankyung's latest text Yesung immediately texted Donghae.
"Did you get the text from Hankyung hyung?"
Donghae replied, "Yeah! I'm bummed!"
Yesung grabbed his jacket from a chair by the door. "Let's meet at that convenience store by hyung's apartment."
"What? Why?" Donghae had just re-entered his apartment.
"Something doesn't feel right."
"Something really could have come up. Don't you trust him?" Regardless of what he just said, Donghae put his shoes back on.
"I do. But he's been acting really weird. He's not going to tell us if something's bugging him outright so this is the only way."
"If he catches us, I'm blaming you!"
Hankyung wandered restlessly about his living area, wondering if he should clean up for Siwon or not. He sighed in defeat as he finally took out a cleaning rag and some generic cleaner.
"Might as well clean since he's not coming for another two hours."
Three hours later his apartment was practically sparkling and Siwon had still not arrived.
"He said 'usual place and time' right?" he asked the frog figurine he was polishing for the second time. "Why isn't he here yet then?"
He almost asked the frog, "Why aren't you responding?" but he realized that the frog was not a person and perhaps he was going a little crazy from the fumes from his cleaner. He put the frog back in its case and took out his phone.
"Where are you?" he texted Siwon, typing the letters quickly and pressing 'send' before he chickened out.
He checked his messages practically every minute to see if Siwon responded back. This went on for an hour until:
"None." Hankyung read out loud as he stared at his cellphone's screen. "No messages at all."
He looked at his watch. "And it's 12:20 already...."
He bit his lip and tried to will away the dull ache in his chest. "He's a busy man," he finally told himself with a quaver in his voice. "He has no time for someone like me."
"Hyung!" Donghae whined. "This is ridiculous! We've been sitting here since 9:30 and it's already 1:00! If nothing has happened yet nothing will!"
"Shhh, Hae!" Yesung put a finger to his lips. Currently they were both sitting in front of the convenience store that faced Hankyung's apartment. Hankyung's was on the first floor, so they had a rather good view of his front door. "We have to be patient! If you're really his friend and mine, you'll wait."
Donghae bit into a shrimp chip and pouted. "Hyunnnnng!"
Suddenly a voice that didn't belong to either of the two of them shouted. "Donghae!!"
Yesung and Donghae turned to look in the direction of the voice. Upon seeing the speaker, Donghae gave a little yell and jumped up from the ground, spilling his chips all over Yesung.
"HYUKKIE! What are you doing here?!"

Note: I have some sort of idea where I'm going with this, but not totally. Guess I'll just write whatever comes to my mind first! XD Oh, and this was more Hankyung focused than Siwon focused. Oops!
