Hannah (Part IV)
Hankyung nearly dropped his bottle of water the next day when Sungmin interrupted his break to tell him that,
"Some guy is here for you. Says his name is Siwon or something."
Hankyung got up in a daze. "What?! Are you sure?"
"Of course I'm sure!" said Sungmin, looking confused. "Do you want me to tell him come back later?"
Hankyung shook his head. "No, it's okay. I'll be just a sec."
He walked out to the front desk to see it really was Siwon leaning against the counter and looking at his phone.
Hankyung gingerly walked forward. Though Siwon had made it quite clear that he wasn't to seek him out in public, Hankyung wasn't sure what he was supposed to do when Siwon sought him out.
"Siwon sshi?" he tapped Siwon lightly on the shoulder.
Siwon flinched ever so slightly and looked up from his phone. "Hey."
"Uh, hello."
"Can we talk?"
"Talk? Now?"
"Now."
"But I'm working, Siwon sshi."
Siwon mentally ran through the rest of his day. There was too much to do for him to waste another second here. "Can you ask for a break?"
"I, well, I'm just finishing my break actually. Do you--"
Siwon cut him off. "Never mind then. Can we meet tonight? Usual place and time?"
Hankyung frowned. "But my friends are coming over...."
Siwon ran a hand through his hair. He was beginning to get impatient. "Can you tell them something came up? Ask them if they can take a rain check?"
Hankyung bit his lip. Yesung and Donghae wouldn't be happy. Today marked the fifth year they have been friends and they were planning to just kick back with some drinks and food. Drinks and food weren't that special...right? And besides, he could see them everyday whereas he only saw Siwon at the most once a week.
"I-I guess I could. We weren't doing anything special anyways."
Siwon nodded. "Thanks. I'll see you tonight then."
That same night Siwon was invited for drinks after work with his boss and a couple of his buddies.
"Come on, Siwon sshi!" A fellow employer named Shindong waggled his eyebrows. "I heard there's gonna be girls from overseas too!"
Siwon looked at his watch. It was only 6 and he agreed to meet Hankyung at 10. "I suppose I can spare an hour."
"I knew mentioning girls would convince you!" Shindong nudged Siwon in the ribs.
Siwon loosened his tie. "It's not the girls that convinced me. It would look bad if I didn't show up, especially since boss personally invited me."
Shindong rolled his eyes and smirked. "Yeah, yeah, sure."
"Man, the booze is good! These girls are gorgeous and I'm getting paid tomorrow! Life couldn't get better than this!" Shindong sighed contentedly as he wrapped an arm around a petite brunette named Anna who had a dimpled smile and a tinkly voice. "Don't you agree, Siwon sshi?"
Siwon ignored him and instead focused on the leggy blonde currently occupying his lap. "What is your name again?" He asked slowly in English.
The blonde puffed out her bigger than average chest, nearly choking Siwon in the process. "I'm Hannah. What's your name?" She giggled flirtatiously.
Siwon felt his heart stop. "H-Hannah?" Is God playing a cruel trick on me or is He telling me something?
"Yeah, Hannah." The blonde ran a finger down Siwon's chest. "You still didn't tell me your name." Siwon still didn't reply so Hannah continued. "Tell you what. How 'bout I just call you Big Boy? Hmm?"
Hannah's hand went lower and was suddenly dangerously close to Siwon's belt buckle. This action seemed to jerk Siwon out of his dazed shock and he stood up, letting Hannah fall unceremoniously to the floor.
"Oh my gawd, my new Betsey Johnson dress! It's ruined! There's dust on it now, you imbecile!" Hannah stood up pretty quickly for someone wearing three inch heels. "What's your problem, mister?!"
Siwon ignored her and went to the head of the table where his boss was sitting with two girls. "Sorry, sir, but I just remembered I have an appointment with someone. I'll be going now." He bowed and his boss waved his hand in the air.
"Ahh, Siwon sshi. You're such a hard worker." His boss chuckled. "Go on, now. Can't keep your client waiting!"
SIwon bowed again. "Thank you, sir."
As he started up his car, he glanced at the clock on the dashboard. It read 1:30 AM in glaringly bright green letters. He was so late.
