So today I was at Fortune, which by the way is the greatest chinese restaurant possible. Yeah, that's right. I'm not only claiming that it's the best in town of that I've been to but that the existence, in any time or reality, of a better chinese restaurant is a goddamned logical impossibility.
Continuing on.
I was getting my Kung Pao on and I wander next door to Red Planet to check the latest batch of Western Shirts. I like Western shirts a lot but would say 90% of them don't fit me (and usually are voluminously large) and 9% of them make me look like a hobo. I didn't find any shirts that fell in that 1% but what I did find was this:
The jacket is in amazing condition (still has that leather sheen) and fits great so I buy it. When I get home I look at the tag and see that it's a US Air Force jacket. No surprise, I guess, it looks kind of like that kind of jacket sans the lame funny coller. So I research it to see when they were made and what it's made of and such and come to find out it's a
World War II A-2 Pilot's Jacket. This is shocking. Research on the design and serial number reveals it was issued during WWII by a sub-contracted company called Poughkeepsie. This is such a surprise because, other than a bit of wear under the arms and the remains of what was a round patch on the left breast, the jacket looks flawless. I double-checked and it's definately a war era jacket. Weird.
Now my dilemma is whether to keep it or to sell it to some WWII memorabilia fanatic or keep it. According to the wiki these sell for a couple grand so there's definately the possibility of some serious cash from this. I bought it for $25. What would you do?
