I'm Kinda Lucky
I think I'm kinda lucky sometimes. Today is one of those days.
Exhibit 1:
I forgot my work laptop today at home. I went all the way to work, and then realized I left it at home. I had to go all the way back home to get it. Thankfully, I work only 20 minutes away. Thankfully, my boss was also late this morning. Thankfully, traffic was awesome. Thankfully, thankfully.
Exhibit 2:
I got my period today. According to my period tracking app, it was supposed to come this Saturday. First day of my cottage day long weekend trip. I've been bummed about that all week long. But, it actually came today instead. It's Tuesday today, so that means by Saturday, it should be pretty much done. WIN!
Exhibit 3:
Something in the back of my mind told me to pack my trusty old little pouch where I keep my pads. I listened. And it came handy today.
Exhibit 4:
I was planning to wear a skirt today. A white skirt. I was thinking about that yesterday. I'm even wearing light coloured undies so I could wear my white skirt. But I woke up this morning and it was raining, so I decided to wear pants instead. This also became a good decision.
I usually hate getting my period. And to be honest, I still feel super cranky, but I'm also secretly happy. I woke up this morning, and was bummed out by the rainy weather and that I can't wear my white skirt. Of course, now, if it wasn't for rain, I may end up in an embarassing situation.
Things work out in the funniest and smallest of ways. Today, I think I'm a pretty lucky girl.
