At work I take calls from all over the country. From Hawaii to Maine and everwhere in between. There are nearly 300,000,000 people in the United States and just about any one of them could call me at any given time. In addition, in my call center ALONE there are like 180 phone reps that could be taking these calls...in addition to CitiBanks numerous other call centers.
Tonight I recieved a call and asked for her 16-digit account number, per usual.
The name pops up on the screen...
"Jennifer Leatherby"
For those who don't know this is Missy's best friend, and by default a friend of mine, who moved to California when Missy moved here.
"Jenny Leatherby...from Iowa?"
"Yes?"
"This is Adam Edwards..."
"Shut the fuck up!"
The chances of her calling her Citibank card and getting me on the phone are ASTRONOMICAL. Our minds were absolutely blown. I was nearly shaking.
Fucking random.
Jen, I think we should both go buy lotto tickets.
