Well, I'm already rearranging things, like making Mondays just Arm Day, and moving my chest exercises to Wednesday since I'm not doing very much for my shoulders and back.
I'm 9/21lbs to my current weight goal.
Barbell Curl - 3x45, last one to failure
Alt. Hammer Curl - 3x15, 1x20 to failure
Alt. Barbell Curl - 2x20 to failure both times
Triceps Pushdown - 1x65, 2x70, 1x75
Reverse Barbell Curl - 3x10, 1x20
20 minutes cardio
I just couldn't do as much with my biceps this week as I could last week. Maybe it's because I'm tired, or maybe it's because I did 4 sets of reverse barbell curls instead of 2, and I did them first. My forearms definitely felt tired while I was doing the normal barbell curls. That's okay, though. I'm more concerned about progress in my forearms right now than my biceps. I think (though I'm probably just deluded) that I can already see a tiny bit of difference in definition after losing a few pounds and working out my arms.
I'm also pretty happy with the progress in my triceps. They're feeling the most worked today.
After I got home, I made a whey protein shake: 1 scoop of the powder with approx. 1.5 cup skim milk, 1 banana, and about a cup of ice.
And yeah, I did do my legs, shoulders and back last week, but I forgot to record it here. Heh. I'll start that this week. I didn't get to adhere to my schedule last week since my chest was so congested and painful. This has been the oddest cold -- first it was just nose and throat, then that went away for a few days and then started in on my chest. Then that seemed to be going away until everything came back with a vengeance on Friday. Now, on top of it, my head is threatening to explode every time I cough. My throat feels better, though.
I wonder if any of it is triggered or irritated by all of the exhaust we breathe in the center every morning. I always come home with a thin black film over my face and what looks like tar crusted in my nose. I hate to think of all of that shit in my lungs. I quit smoking for a reason.
I plan on getting up at 2:45am or so tomorrow so I can go do about 45min cardio before work. That's probably more time than I need, but I'd rather start out with an excess of time than wind up late to work or have to show up in my gym clothes. Not that anyone dresses any different there, but if the safety specialist saw me in running shoes as opposed to my boots I'd probably get a nice lecture.
Speaking of the safety stuff, I let them rope me into the committee again. I think this might make me an idiot.
