CoE Sound mixing
Okay. So because I moved from the UK to the US I have CoE from when I was in the UK, and the US DVD. I also own a signed UK DVD (yay for me in HMV!).
I think someone mentioned this before, but just so you know, the US sound mixing sucks a baboon's arse. The whole Day Five montage scene when Gwen and Rhys are running away with the kids whilst Jack is doing you know what to Stephen has entirely different music and sets a completely different tone. The UK one is heart breaking but beautiful. The US one is a load of action shit.
I don't know what the Hell is up with people who think that a US audience needs a different kind of show, but this further fuels my impatience with BBC America. It dumbs things down, edits shit, fucks with shit, and has stupid commercials about toilet cleaner.
If you don't already, download the shows in their purity and ignore BBC "oh-how-exciting-we-have-the-show-you-love-three-weeks-after-it-came-out" America until they learn to stop messing with the Whoniverse.
And it is REALLY that difficult to get a simultaneous broadcast (or rather a same day broadcast) arranged in this day and age? If The Beatles could hook up ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE in 1967 all around the world then I don't see why the US should have to wait more than a time zone's difference for a show.
