[Peeeering at that screen. It's a doggie! And doesn't look like one of the wolves that run around either-- and even if it did, well, Oz is a bit... lacking in the self-preservation department, so that's okay.]

Ehh, why would they bring a dog over here?

Uh, hi doggie! [Have a wave. Right, Oz, like animals usually understand you.]

[The dog hears the voice and perks up, following it back to where it seems to be coming from. He stares down at the communicator, head tilted in confusion. He sniffs at it. It looks like a small television...and he doesn't realize you're talking to him yet.]

Are you lost? I guess the scientists bring animals here too...

[Stare...confusion...and it clicks. He whimpers to answer your question. 'Yes I'm lost, halp.']

Well, uh-- [But Oz can't speak dog and has no idea how to find him, to boot.] Don't stay outside for too long, okay? There are wolves and stuff. And-- uh, can you see any street signs? Can you read the street signs?

Well... [Maybe he's not tall enough to see the signs.] Try to find a building, or something! The monsters are kind of dangerous outside.

[Still not sure if the dog can understand him or not, so he's making little... square "house" gestures, looking kind of silly.]

[He's used to humans looking silly. They're very good at it. He gives an affirmative wag of his tail to show he understands, though he has no intentions to go inside yet. He has a pack of hounds to look for.]

Uwaaah~ you really can understand me, can't you? I guess that makes sense... the scientists probably wouldn't give a normal dog a communicator.

Is there anyone here you can talk to? I haven't seen any more dogs, but there is a little yellow bird...

[Wow, the people around here are smart. Almost everyone back home thought he was totally normal. He wags his tail again cheerfully - he hasn't met any birds yet, but there's a deer thing who can understand him. And honestly, it's pretty comforting just knowing that the people around here can tell how smart he is.]
