King 2 Hearts was pretty involving this week. I felt it odd that there were no guards near the house (I mean seriously, king and queen in there), and I'm not very invested in parts of the story (like anything involving the villain).
But the characters are great. I love the way Hang-Ah charges into the princess' room and takes care of everything, and the look on the queen mother's face when she realizes (and the passing on of family recipe to the daughter-in-law scene, though short, was very nice). The relationsip between Jae-Ha and Kang-Ah -- tense and uncertain yet alive with chemistry and that bond that happens if this is the only person you can say this to. The only person you can let go around when the whole world insists you be in control. The only person in a country who might be on your side when your protector is gone.
"Majesty."
"I don't want you to call me that, too."
I still love Jo Jung Suk, here in his second role. In What's Up his comic timing was wonderful (and his voice). Here his earnest loyalty is just lovely, especially when he defends himself.
"Why do you look down on us?"
I'm not looking forward to the planting of evidence, the mistrust that I know is coming. I really feel for Hang-Ah's situation. She's in the middle of a hostile land, as a fiance not an assassin... a very lonely, fragile place to be.
