I've really been enjoying The Well of Ascension, but recently I realized that I'm not quite emotionally immersed. The world is unique, I like the characters and problems and how it's flowing, but I wasn't feeling it like I wanted to, if that makes any sense.

A later scene made up for that.

Maybe instead of talking about love first we need to find out what it means to the person saying it.

I enjoyed the second book a lot. Well into the third now :)
